The NICE staff would like to congratulate Damber Kharel on being voted NICE Staff of the Quarter for the 2nd quarter of 2013. Damber is the Refugee Integration Liason at NICE. During the second quarter of 2013, Damber met or surpassed all of her program goals for each of the five components of the Refugee Integration (RI) Program. The RI Program is built to help refugees who have been in the United States longer than 8 months to adjust to life here. Its components include Social Learning, Workforce Training, Entrepreneurship Training, Leadership Training and English classes. Damber works very hard to recruit members from the community to participate in each portion of the program. She also ensures the components run smoothly and handles the administrative burden for the program as well. Damber has an incredibly large job and she handles it all so well.
Thanks to Damber’s tireless efforts and commitment to her community, the program goals are reached. Her effect on her community cannot be measured. Damber has helped NICE empower the refugee community in Nashville and make a positive difference. Thank you for all you do, Damber!
