Workforce Preparation Program

The NICE Workforce Preparation Program focuses on assisting local refugees who have been in the United States for less than five years. Services include skills inventories, job search, online and paper application assistance, resume building and interview preparation. Job training classes are held weekly.

- Vocational Training
- Job Application Assistance
- Referral Services
- Employer Partner Relations
In 2011, NICE
- Secured over 100 jobs for clients
- Main partners were Opryland Hotel, Sodexo, GCA, Tyson Foods, Double Tree Hotel, KBM, Inc., Abacus Staffing, Hidden Valley Farms, Fresh Point Tomato, and others
- Began raising funds to buy a van for client transportation to jobs –to help, please visit our fund-raising page on Crowdrise
In 2010, NICE
- placed clients in more than 100 jobs
- Main partners in 2010 were Construction Corps, Opryland Hotel, Nashville Bun Company, Babylon Gardens, and GCA
- A new ELL- based English class was developed to help with job skills and applications
