She has been described as “a healthy dose of infinite sunshine”. Meet our July Volunteer of the Month, Anastasia Kazmina. Few can rival the magnitude of this remarkable lady’s selflessness. As she walks into her classes daily with a spring in her step, her students can’t help but love her. Everyone can’t help but love her! Anastasia is herself an immigrant who came into this country with nothing to cling on except the prospect of freedom and hope for a brighter tommorrow. She describes herself as one who has been successful because of help from others and enjoys the opportunity to give back by helping others who are where she was when she first arrived. One minute with Anastasia and you can tell she genuinely feels immense joy at doing it. In Kerry (Development Director)’s own words, “Sometimes Anastasia helps out at the reception, you know, the front desk; everytime I walk in through the doors, she greets me with a big smile that makes me feel so welcome…at my own office!” Yeah. That is our Anastasia! Congratulations girl, you are a star!
